Sometimes eggs get more pointed as hens age. We get quite a few like that from hens over three years of age. The shells are generally rough as well and tend to be thin even though the layers have access to all the oyster shell they want. We keep them for use at home since they look odd.

Yes, each hen may have her own shaped egg, most all the time. Easy to identify eggs/hen if you collect just after the egg is laid....beautiful eggs!

Ha! That looks like the egg i hatched one of my girls out of! I didn't think it was hatchable but it was.

Dusty is my Queen of the Torpedo Egg! She is a Bantam Langshan coming up to 5 years old and has always laid 'pointies' ....
