WHY??

Haha, yeah, my roo does the same thing, just stands there watching me all day. I've caught him on girls while watching from a second story window but never while I was outside with them. He must be doing something right though... he's the father of baby chicks!

If she laid 1 egg, I can also assure you she's not a rooster!

She's at that age for sure, give her a couple of weeks to get it right.

Remember, she's not on your schedule!

I guess, but ya know how it is. My rooster is very polite when I'm outside, he'll come up to me and eat the treats I give them. Oh yeah, will giving them to many treats keep them from laying?

Oh trust me I am. My cousin had two very mean little white roosters that would attack you for no reason. I finally had to start taking a stick with me, I know it sounds awful to hit them but I couldn't just let that go on forever. Anyways those roos are dead(something ate one of em and the other one just died). But your right I'm glad my roo is a sweetheart and not a demon.

P.S my cous named her white roos satin and Lucifer, that's how mean they were.

LOL!

That is hilarious. I told my cousin that she needed to get rid of them but the whole time she kept saying "their not mean". Finally she realized that they were mean and I hated them. But I will let you guys know when my hen is finished taking her time.

I was just wondering, you guys said that a roo has nothing to do with egg laying but if he fertilizes the hen doesn't she have to lay?

Wow that is very strange. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Chickens are addictive yet so grrr! I love my chickens and can't wait for them to start laying big time.
