Ive heard chicks due badly alone, i had a strong health single chick and now he seems to be giving up... his face is down and he doesn't move much... his dad had something wrong with it is it because he's alone or hereditary decease?

it's honeslty hard to determine that without knowing for sure if the parents had problems. Are you saying that the roo (daddy) had something wrong with him? If so it's always a possibility. I've had several chicks raised up a lone and they are fine.

his dad acted the same way before he passed, this guy has trouble walking won't lift his head, i have him in a warm environment... the only difference is his dad had a hard time breathing he doesn't.... i really hope he'll be ok... this is my first chick.... oh he's a button quail

Have you been showing it how to eat and drink? without others to watch, some never learn and starve....

I raised only 1 by itself-- and will never do it again... she became "mental" and unaproachable.. banging her head on the cage and freaking out when even looked at...even though she was handled constantly from day 1.... She is now in the coop with others, and doing well- but still afraid of humans... go figure.

i watched it drink... my husband saw hi eat a few times mind you its only three days old... so i think its ok there. i've taken my finger and moved around the food even feed it to it...

he does keep flipping himself onto his back... and when he's laying he will only keep his head down and leaning on his left side... could there be something eles...?

... well good news he is up running around and chipping like he was before but his head is still slightly off center and leaning left could he have fell and hurt himself?

I have read here that sometimes chicks are born with crooked necks and they grow out of it. So just let it go I guess and make sure its eating, drinking and pooing. You might want to put your hand in the brooder often (not necessarily picking it up) but just to touch it and give it something to look at. Maybe that will give it some companionship. I don't think a chick HAS to have a companion to survive.

i looked it up and it does look the same way as him, my only question is we haven't seem him eat since he developed this yesterday... now how do we get him to eat? i heard of using yogurt is that a good idea... please help!
