Whysaywhat's 2021 Flock!

Hehe, Sassypants. :) You've got a nice looking flock there! And sweet furbabies.
Thanks! Sassy bites me every chance she gets (hence the name), lol. Stella (my Delaware) has taken over that role now that Sassy actually likes me. Stella grabs my whole finger and pulls hard like she's pulling a worm out of the ground. It's really hilarious, but going to have to break her of that habit before she gets bigger I think. The barred chick (she could be a PBR, heritage PBR, or a Dominique) would rather come cuddle with me than go get the wet feed I put in a couple of times a day (to distract them and keep them from jumping out)...as she grows, her barring is "off" and she looks more speckled than barred at this point. It's so fun to see how they're all feathering out so differently! Doubt I'll go for "grab bags" again though...

As for the furbabies, thank you! Both cats turn 2 this summer (they are about 1 month apart in age...the Long-hair, Clark, was an alley cat rescue when he was about 3 weeks old). My Staffy turned 2 right before Christmas this last year and Nugget is about 5 years old. She was a birthday present to our son for his 3rd birthday about 3 months after we lost our 15 year old Lab to a heart attack. We were told she was a "Lab mix" and was 3 months old When we got her home and vetted, we found out she was closer to 6-7 months old and CLEARLY not a Lab! DNA testing said she's 50% Chi and 37% Pomeranian, with a little of "unknown" sprinkled in for fun. She's currently asleep in my 8 year old's lap while he's in his Live Lesson for school today, they're best friends!

Aww. My mom's friends had a pom-chi named Buffy when I was a kid. She was a fun little dog.

I have a buff brahma named Gabby that likes to bite me, but she never does it hard, so I just go "Gabbyyyyy...." in a stern tone of voice and make a point to give her a pet. She complains about it, but tolerates it. I suppose if she actually bit me hard, I'd have to do something more about it.

Tiny dinosaurs…they’ll be 4 weeks old tomorrow! Buddy, Lady, and Sassy all fight for cuddle time in my hands, Reba is starting to want in on that time too. Lovey hates me and does everything in her power to stay away from me, including staying in the brooder rather than going I. The “vacation” tote while I cleaned the brooder! There’s one corner I can’t reach and she knows it! All of their personalities are really showing through. It’s so fun!

Shadows cross beak seems to be getting worse as time goes by, but she’s handling herself quite well otherwise. I think she’s a Jersey Giant, she’s definitely larger than everyone else! Goldie is my smallest chick, she’s supposed to be a GLW, she definitely has the right colors! My memory of having SLWs is that the feathers start coming in looking very penciled and then broaden out into the lacing when they’re older/larger. She’s beautiful and I’ve wanted a GLW for over a decade! I had assumed Praline was an EE, but now I’m wondering if she might be a Welsummer? Same goes with Penguin, thought she was/is a Light Brahma, but now I’m thinking maybe a Black Copper Maran? Meyer hatchery’s website didn’t show feathered feet of their BCMs so I hadn’t even thought of it until I saw someone else post here that Marans had to have feathered feet? Penguin’s foot feathering is very small and seems to not have grown at all while Lovey’s feet have little clouds of fluffy feathers on them! Lovey is a White Cochin.
