Wierd chicken behaviors.

Sounds like she is getting ready to start laying. Do you have a nesting box ready? How old is she?

Shes around six months, and she has PLENTY and I mean PLENTY of laying box's.

6 months (i dont think shes eggbound sence I am getting around nine eggs per day which is the ammount of egg laying chickens i have but if she does not lay egg's this month she is going right to the vet.)

she could be laying then, couldn't she????? it seems like broody behavior.

she has been topped by my roosters, I do think shes laying I'm going to collect every egg I can find and then tomorrow ima count how many eggs i have!

I doubt it, 6 months old to be going broody especially for an Isa Brown would be impossible. A chicken who is picking up straw and throwing in the air whatsoever doesn't mean she is broody. My Isa Brown is about 2 years of age and still does this every time she lays an egg. This strange behavior isn't even at all strange, It is common in every hen who does it for privacy by trying to cover themselves when laying, or will cover up the egg after laying it to keep it hidden from predators, chickens, people etc.. It is a natural instinct.

My hens do that all the time when they are going to lay an egg... it looks adorable Idk it just does :3 XD

But she's just getting ready to lay an egg so she's probably just trying to cool down or blend in so that a predator doesnt see her.

If you have 9 hens and you get 9 eggs a day sounds like she’s laying. A chicken can’t lay 2 in a day. Hum....
