wierd, strange, unusal and just down right wrong names for Kids.

One of my friends from highschool got married a few (8 yrs) ago to a man, last name Freshener. So when their daughter was born they named her Air. I also knew an old man whos name was Richard Leak and the sign on his mailbox was Dick Leak.

My great aunt's name, on my dad's side, was Birdie....Ida Birdie. I had totally forgotten about that LoL
My grandma's name is Ida Bell.

Oh and my bil's sister is named Tinker, after Tinker AFB...they all had weird names but him (Tim). LoL

My children all have unique names: Amelya Ann, Livondar Lyle, Joryn Joel, Tahara Tailynn, and Bylena Beatrice. They may chose to go by their middle names or nicknames later in life but for now they are pretty proud of their names and love to tell everyone how they got their name and what it means.

I always thought that if everyone gives their kids the same predictable names, that it washes away their uniqueness. When I hear a name, I have a general image that comes to mind of people I have met with the same name, unique names might take a moment to learn but give you a fresh start.

When I was 7th grade, I had an art class that had seven Michaels in it, that was out of a total of a hundred and twenty students.

No matter what you name your child, if someone wants to pick on them they will. My name is Leslie, there are more people who can't spell or pronounce it then you would believe. When I was in fourth grade, some sixth graders started calling me "Lezlie the Lesbian." I had no idea what it meant until I looked it up. To this day I can't stand when people mispronounce my name as Lez-lee instead of Less-lee.

In some ways a bad last name can be even worse... My maiden name was Petre, (pronounced PEE Tree) Let's just say I have never peed in a tree.

Lets see

I know a beautiful little girl named Xamilex. Pronounced as Jamilex. We call her Jami- short A long E
We also have a Kyrie, Brenden,Rylie, Caroline, Reese,Aurora,Bella,Caleb(3) Brody,Myra and some others

I knew and know more than 20 Christines/Chrissy's when I was growing up. My husband works with more than 3 Joes.
Also knew a Melissa whom everyone called "Missy" even when she was in her 20s. My neighbor growing up was Marybeth. Who was nick named ,,, of all fitting names. Muffy. And yes. She IS a MUFFY!!!
Also knew an Edith and an Alfred in grade school.

We went with a classic name. Sarah. With the "H" I get asked that every time I tell people her name!
She and I share the middle name, Celine.

My name is Martha. Which I like now.Growing up it was tough. Everyone thinks I am older than I am though due to my name.
My sisters name is Susannah Ruth. Both of which she HATES. She has gone by Sue since we were kids.

I went to school with a Glade and a Michelle Michelle (first and last name Michelle)

Some of the wierdest names I have heard of are people my age. My mother has a friend that had twin boyes. She named them both after there father. One in Allen and the other is Alan. Another friend of my mother's named her first child Pete, when the second came she named it Repete.

My husband has a friend that named his son Phillip D. Glass.

Thank god, twenty years ago my sister had a boy. Because if it was a girl she was going to name her Ash. Well the last name would be White.

There are a lot of different people in this world.

if i had seen the movie XXX after my youngest was born he would have been Xander. There was a kid in my school named Jeffery J. Jeffery III and a guy i knew had a sister named Anita Dick, no word of a lie, his dad was a teacher. "Paging Mr Dick, Mr Dick please report to the principals office"

Not ment to offend, but true
