OMG I have TEARS RUNNING down my face right now - I can't stop laughing long enough to tell my hubby what I'm laughing about!

Almost forgot myself. My brother realized on the night before my wedding that the nickname he gave me when we were kids and he couldn't pronounce my real name, rhymes with my married name! I've used it for online ids quite a bit!

As a teacher, the names are interesting to say the least. One family makes me smile, Lake was in my 6th grade class, a couple of years later his sister Brooke was also in my class, I am not sure, but thier little sister, Spring, may be in my class this year.

A family I baby sat for while in college who gave their children ratehr unusual names. They owned a bookstore and movie theater. The Mitras Bookstore and the Unicorn Theater. You entered the theater through the back of the bookstore and the bookstore had all kinds of comfey chairs. So I started searching and here is what I found out.

Amazingly, as I was I was trying to look up the speliing of these children's names, they are named after authors and I always remember them and thier unusual family. While searching I discovered that the mother of the family is the author of the Good Dog Carl series, she published with the name Sandra Day! Amazing! LOL, here in the article are the names of the children - Sacheverell, Rabindranath, Lafcadio, and Christina. I always wondered about Christina and why she ended up with such a "normal" name. Now, after reading the article, I find out she is named after a poet, just not an odd named one.

Mine name couldn't be more boring....Jennifer....I was one of about 20 Jennifers going through school. I named my kids Macey, Sydney & Cole. Different, but not too far out there.

Brother and his wife loved Brock. It was a keeper. What do you think they were going to use as a middle name. You guessed it. Lee.

I said "Go home, yell it a few times like they're in trouble and then call me."

They hadn't even realized.

DS and his GF were expecting a son. Came in saying, "We've thought of a great name. Levi Garrett. What do you think?" I replied, "Everybody will call him 'Snuffy' from the day he's born." They went, "HUH?" in unison. Explained that it's the brand name of snuff, a tobacco product. Don't name your kid after a tobacco product, or any other product. So, no Garrett. He's just Levi. And all their friends wanted to know if he's named after the jeans!
