Wierdest thing that has happened to you?

Saw a TRIPLE rainbow, once.

On a cross country travel, I was looking for a shortcut, shown on the map, in the Oregon mountains, and wound up in a little place called Cornucopia.

Maybe 30 houses, all of the yards neat and clean, houses well tended, and noone in sight....There was one large building, at the end of town, built into the mountain...I surmise it was some kind of mine.

I got the strange feeling that I was being watched, and was not wanted, there....I left, the way I came.

I don't know what the STRANGEST thing is, but while I ponder I will tell you of some other strange stories.

Today I was driving to Fresno and it was early morning so I got some breakfast from a bakery. There were ducks all over the place. And there were 2 peacocks as well, just roaming around. I was taking a picture of them from the car window and one of them strutted up and gave me the "poultry puppy-dog eyes" (AKA the "Gamma face" since my chicken Gamma is great at begging).

The peacock, much to it's dismay, did not get part of the muffin I was eating.

And another time my head hen Poppy was calling the alarm call outside, so I rounded up the chickens and put them in the run (they free-range during the day unless I'm not home or if there's a nearby predator). They all continued to call the alarm call even INSIDE the run. They were looking up in the sky, but I stood outside for quite a while and there was nothing there. The chickens continued to call the alarm call until dark. It was eerie...

I worked in two places that have had active ghosts.
I saw a Wolf on the side of the highway eating something out of a cardboard box. Went back to see what he was eating, it was a bear inside a garbage bag. When I phoned the CO, he was speechless but went to look and phoned me back and said "Your right!". Like I could have made that up.

Walked up my driveway and a huge tree fell over in slow motion.
I saw a escaped Prisoner hiding behind a tree.
Lately it seems every new person I meet, knows somebody I already know. The connecting Dots.

Not too wierd but unsual:
I was fishing in a 12ft row boat in the ocean and was surrounded by Killer Whales. They made eye contact with me.
I was horseback riding in the Rockies and a Grizzly Bear chased me. Thankfully I remembered they are not that fast going up hill.

Actually my list is almost endless

That story caught my interest enough to look the place up. Apparently it's a ghost town now. Weird piled onto weird? I need to go visit there sometime.

I think the weirdest event in my life was the night my current husband looked at me and started talking in the voice of my late husband. It took me awhile to realize what was going on, but he spoke for roughly two hours about topics and beliefs that my late husband held which I hadn't shared with anyone, to my knowledge. That evening was so surreal that it feels more like a dream than an actual memory.

I told my DH that I was worried about a CBS reporter Lara Logan. And about 2 days later I read a report that she had been beatenn and raped in Egypt. I don't know why I worried about someone that I don't know and have never met.

I was a victim on a full mountain rescue. We had just started a one hundred mile hike and we got hit with an all time record rain storm. It is still the most rain in a 24 hour period in the month of August in the State of Washington. I had a temperate of 90 degrees when we were found. I got a piggyback ride from a police officer in to a bar. I was 15 years old. It was the only place open in the town. I suffered from hypothermia for over ten years after that. This happened in 1975.

Im sure there's something a lot weirder than this but.

We were going home one day and there was a old guy building a deck in a speedo.....Our friend yelled out the window..."GET SOME CLOTHES ON!"
