Wiered Egg

Today our 22 week old chicken laid an egg without a shell. It was just a yoke and thin shell like substance around it. Is this normal? This is her second egg.
It is either our Golden Laced Wyandotte our our Golden Commet.

*On a brighter not our Barred rock started laying! Small light brown shells and crisp yokes! Hope our other chicken catches on.

Yes new layers go through a few changes during the process and may produce some incomplete eggs here and there as well as double yokes etc....

Not to worry! It's just her system getting itself into gear. Of my 6 girls, 4 of them did the very same thing.

You'll soon have yummy eggs!

You sure can get strange eggs from pullets!
