Wife and a fish sandwich...

Crikey! Those are some fish. Color me impressed. I'm going fishing today, but my catches always look about like your stringer. They make good fritters with cornmeal batter.

I just use boring old worms, big and little. Our local fish-n-game guys get mighty suspicious of anyone using herring around here, they make you show a bait shop receipt. Too many people poaching herrings out of the local river.

*wipes drool off chin* What are you gonna do with that striper? A very good friend gave me half a striper fillet about that size a few months ago. Sauteed in brown butter with just a sprinkle of chopped herbs from the garden...mmm...Best fish ever.

My stringer of fish are from a local river. Usually I catch a few quite a bit bigger than those. The fun thing with them is you can catch 50+ per trip no problem. I catch those wading in the river at night.

Striper are one of the if not the best tasting fish in my opinion. Just can't get enough of them. That ones cooling off in the ice box waiting for a family gathering in the near future.

Here's another delicious fish. Fillets with butter/garlic/onions/salt wrapped in foil on the grill. DOH VERY GOOD!

OH I HATE THESE THREADS! I love to fish, and I live on a creek where I can just drop my line in, but I never seem to get over there to do it. That creek is full of steelhead and brown trout at the right times of year.

My DH just saw the sink full of fish pic and he said that really brings back memories. He grew up on Bluff Lake in Antioch, IL and his dad would come home with catches like that every weekend!

I so could eat some fresh rainbow trout right now
