Agreed, if the yolk sac was absorbed completely, and he didn't have a bunch of blood vessels in the membrane surrounding the egg, then he was probably pretty close to zipping on his own... and tho some say keep him alone, other chicks might stimulate him to move around more. maybe put him in a small bowl in the brooder with the other chicks, where they can't climb all over him but he can hear them doing their thing. sound is important IMO, as it's the first thing they know. the sound of their hatch-mates learning to breathe, talking to each other, and when incubated normally (under a broody) momma is talking to them too. so separating him may not be the best thing, unless he had yolk sac still out, lost too much blood, or something like that.
