Wife wants Chickens

My wife told me yesterday that she wants to raise chickens and eggs in our backyard. So we are going to raise chickens... Both of my grandparents had chickens when I was growing up, but I know nothing about raising and taking care of them. That is why I am here. To learn from this community.
