Wiggling eggs?!?!

They may just be smaller, or in a different position where you can see more fluid. You can either wait an extra day to crank up the humidity, which won't hurt the 2 that look further along, or just go ahead as planned. They should be fine.

Ok so here are the two different pictures. One of the eggs that are wiggling is the one with the big white air cell at the top and the one with all the veins is what the other 4 look like.

wow, yes that's quite a difference! Could the slower ones maybe be older eggs? I mean longer from the time of lay? I think older eggs develop slower. but that's pretty drastic difference. Those have been in the same incubator for the same amount of time and are the same breed??

I was on a walk and we found a dead momma duck so we saved the eggs she laid that morning(the neighbor said) and we let them rest pointy end down for 24 hours and put all 6 in an incubator at the same time yes. I think they are the same breed? I have no way of knowing :barnieyikes . I have two thermometers and one by the two said 100.4 and the other ones it said 97.3 :(
I just put 2 tampons in the incubator lol and filled all the water canals and turned the other four. They are all in lock down I guess but the other four are not ready!!!! Only the two are, but again I have no idea. I held the two today to candle them one last time and I swear it felt as if they were pecking the inside of the egg!!!???
But now the humidity is in the high 80-90!! Ohmerrrgerrrd I have no idea what I'm doing!!!!:hit

That much temp variation could definitely cause delays. But don't panic. They may just hatch a day or two later. No big deal! 80-90 is pretty high, just don't let the windows condensate. Otherwise, you should be good.

also forgot, i took a pic of an internal pip for you yesterday evening. with a broody hen, we have a couple external pips now.

when the chick/duckling starts getting into position, the air cell shifts, like the second pic below. The first pic shows the beak has pierced the membrane so it can breathe from the air cell. Normally we don't usually see these in an incubator, but i was checking on my broody hen, so it was a good opportunity to get pics.

Thank you!! You are awesome and helpful!! Yes that is what I saw and now the one egg has a peck hole the size of a pencil hole. But still nothing yet. Just the tiny crack??? How long does this take?
