It's very vocal and I made a mixture of canned dog food, cottage cheese and water and found a syringe to feed it with. The bird is WEIRD though....it has a real long skinny tongue and ate that food like it couldn't get enough of it! It's beak is different than any baby bird I've ever seen.

Please tell me you know what it may be! It's beak is weird...not all pointy like any other baby bird I've seen. It's also very vocal and alert. It can't walk, but it attempts to. It just stumbles backwards.
Normal fledging nealry a week away. It is too small / under feathered to keep itself warm unless nights hot. Parents will come to ground to feed it.
Look in vicinity of a where you found it for a nest between an 8 and 16 feet high. It could not have walked far from where it fell. Mine like to nest in pine or cedar trees. If nest intact, then try to put it back in. Parents will resume care.
Talk to pigeon people of respective subforum. Amoung them will be people at least competent at caring for pigeons / doves than typical wildlife rehabber.
