I had 5 wild wood ducks hatch 3 days ago. We happen to have the Sylan Heights Waterfowl Park close by and I called them about the wood ducks. I wanted to know if I should do anything different for wild ducks than normal. they said that 24% starter is okay for about 10 days and after that switch to 20% because it will make there wings grow faster than they would in the wild (angel wing.) Since I will let them go to the wild when they are ready I was glad to know this. Just thought I would pass it along.
