Have found a lady who raises and releases ducklings, going to drop baby duck off with her tomorrow, she even has a friend for him to play with! Another solo duckling although hers is a few weeks old..hope itll be ok!

Thanks I'll do that! I have 2 orpington hens we want to breed eventually so I may need help with them too in the future!Yay! Now he has a flock. I was wondering why there would be a wild baby so late in the year, now that I know you are in NZ, that makes more sense. If you add your location to your profile, it is helpful, for those advising. So nice. I've been thinking about adding ducks also, I've been gleaning lots of info from the duck people on here. He is sure a cutie pie. I would have gotten attached too.Have decided to get ducks when we are older and in a better position though, something that probably wouldnt had even been considered without this little duckling making its way into our life!
Little duckling has been succssfully handed over to a lady from bird rescue nzhe has a little friend waiting for him and the lady seemed very nice! Thanks to everyone for your input! Will definitely miss the little one! Have decided to get ducks when we are older and in a better position though, something that probably wouldnt had even been considered without this little duckling making its way into our life!
