Hello,
I apologize if this is in the wrong thread- BUT.
My chicks are currently 4 weeks old (about to be 5 on Sunday.)
Last week I received a call at work (Farm) that someone had “rescued” 2 baby ducks and was currently driving them to the farm so they could live with our farm ducks (farm raised egg/meat birds NOT wild). She showed up with 2 MAYBE week old ducklings and handed them over to me- they were my “problem” now. Knowing they couldn’t go live with our 2+ year old flock I brought them home to wait to hear from animal control what to do. I have a tiny brooder so they went in there. They are eating and drinking and very active. But here I am on Friday with no return call from animal control or the wildlife rehab center despite my many messages. My husband is thrilled as he always wanted ducks and thinks they won’t ever call us back. I guess I’ll raise them as ours for now bc they are so young. But my question is- when they are of bigger size am I putting my chicks at risk by letting them hang out together?
Thank you!!
