Any sign of the small gosling showing up? What do you think happened to her? Is the conclusion then that rehabing a gosling is hard to do in practice?

The gosling never showed back up. The conclusion I’ve come to is that these geese are probably bad parents they’ve been in this area for at least the last 3 years and they’ve never had babies. Rehabbers usually place goslings with pairs that have babies of a similar age and they do just fine blending in.
