(Our old mare Lissa had 2 foals. It was a hard pregnancy for her and we had to help a lot. But one of the foals died but we raised one of them, now he is our healthy stud.)

( In theory, two, but it's incredibly rare and usually kills one or both of the foals or in some cases, the mother. )

(I know but it is possible.)
