( No, a colt is a young stallion ( male horse ). A stud is another word for an intact ( meaning he can reproduce (have babies) ) male horse (stallion). )

Rebel plodded along, heading upstream. He grinned to himself, knowing Sun Burst's herd was probably dying a slow death right now.

Sun Burst thrust his head up into the air, his ears pinned to his head. "Rebel..." he muttered.

Rebel advanced upstream. After about a mile of trotting he came to an abrupt stop. The willow tree he had spent many of his days under loomed in front of him. I'm on Sun Burst's territory... he thought to himself. Oh well... this is my territory now. I grew up right here, after all...

Ricky could smell the distinct smell of another stallion. He pinned back his ears and slid in front of Casper and Lily. "Don't move... another stallion is close by... very close by..."
Khloe whinnied, beckoning Koda to come to her.
Cowboy stood beside her, the wind causing his forelock to blow askew. He shot a loving look to Khloe. "Just think... In eleven months we'll have another foal..."
Khloe smiled, and looked down to her growing belly. "I can hardly wait!"
Riley looked to Jake. "I can smell Cobalt... we're almost there."
Sugar smiled as Spice and Outlaw romped around her. They're growing older... she thought to herself. I hope we can have another one... or two...
Eclipse sighed, looking out of the cave opening to find herself looking at another dreary day.
Buckshot plodded out of the corner in which he'd been sleeping in. He searched for the right spot, and finally relaxed as the warm milk nourished him.
Eliza plopped herself onto the soft grass under a nearby oak tree, and began tearing the grass from the ground, savoring the delicious taste.
Rocky rested in the shade of a nearby tree, his whole body enjoying the much needed rest.
Demi bounded, leaped and reared for fun.
Diablo smiled at his mares, his paint pelt shining in the sun.
Winona smiled back. She nickered, and reached out to touch her muzzle to Diablo's, in silent thanks for getting them here.
Calypso's belly clearly indicated that the foal would be coming soon.
Diablo nickered to Calypso, and licked her belly. "The foal... I wonder what it would look like?"
Calypso shook her head. "I want it to have your beautiful coat..."
Diablo shook his head. "It'll have your beautiful eyes, that's for sure..."
Bandito whinnied, reminding the stud and his mares that he was there to.
The horses smiled down at him.
"Oh Bandito..." murmured Winona. "Who could forget about you?"
