"I'll tell you," She said, hoping he would still like her. "I had a mate once before," She paused. "He seemed sweet. Well he wasn't. I had a foal and he... he.." She paused again. "He killed it and ran off," She blurted out and then burst into tears.
"Yes apples!" She cheered. "Mama said their really good!"
Moon almost cried himself hearing how one of his mares could be treated so harshly. He nuzzled her mane as his warm breath blew on her neck. (i love when a horse does that to me!)
"So did mine!" Sasha began to gallop through the rows of trees.
