Monsoon didn't move, but she did nicker at Helio. "If you ever suggest a race in the desert again, I might kill you."

Orestes' head spun around, and he whinnied sharply. He'd heard hoof beats from two separate directions.

Quicksilver watched as a dun stallion raced by over a hundred yards away.
Moonstar watched then whinnied, racing after him.

Legacy slowed as he entered the desert. He snorted and stopped on the top of a sand dune to rear and whinny loudly, then turned to go back to the fields.
