Zach plundered aimlessly through an abandoned field. His hooves dragged on the ground, boredom taking over all other thoughts and emotions.

Lacey snorted. Her pregnant belly was getting bigger.

There was a soft snort in the distance. Thinking he'd imagined it, Zach continuing this walking.

Chocolate galloped along.

Orestes erupted into view, a blur of strawberry roan motion. He zeroed in on Cerulean, seeing her trying to herd foals ahead of her. This time, Orestes saw no sign of Moon, and he galloped after the blue roan.

"I'm not miserable," Orestes said. He turned his head, nostrils flared. There was that scent again...that blue roan mare! "I'm not miserable at all..."

He turned and headed toward the scent.

Tornado saw he was distracted. There was no question in her mind about what. She sighed. "I just don't want to be forgotten." she said to her new stallion. She ran after him.

Glaze sighed. Thoughts whizzed through her head.

Plunder smiled charmingly. "Beautiful AND smart! What a treasure!"
