Orestes had wised-up. He jumped aside to avoid the kick. Blowing angrily, the strawberry roan stud charged the blue roan mare. Before Cerulean had time to move, Orestes had his teeth sunk into her flank.

She huffed and stood waiting. The longer she stood the more angry and lonley she became. Then an idea popped into her head.

Orestes gave an angry scream and leaped sideways, nearly losing his balance in the process. He shot Moon a venom-laced glare then turned his head. This wimpy stallion needed a reminder of how harsh the life of a wild horse really was.

Orestes bolted, heading for Turquoise. Quick on his hooves, he snatched the blue roan filly by the neck. The strawberry roan fled with a foal, squealing bloody murder, dangling from his jaws.
