I think that chasing would just panic everyone..I'd say that somehow you circle around behind them, maybe with a helper on either side, and use the sticks to sort of form a U shape that can help slowly corral them?

Watch to see where they roost at night, hopefully it's low enough you can grab them after dark, both hands around wings and hold on tight.

Hmmm... yeah, those were the two I was deciding between, grabbing them at night, or herding them into a cage or something.
Why not try hearing them during the day, and if that doesn’t work, go back tonight and grab them off the roost if you can reach them...
