Wildflowers and Chicken Coops.

EE is Easter Egger, what some hatcheries try to pass off as Ameraucanas. hatcheries almost never sell actual Ameraucanas, so any hen that's close to those and lays colored eggs is called an EE... "Easter Egger"

Here's a link to a beginning of a thread that has lots of the abbreviations. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=70417&p=1 There's some other stuff like that around, maybe someone has some links for you too.

Your white EE looks like my Sweet Cheeks and Opal and the EE in the middle of the photo with 3 EE's looks like my Ladyhawk who has a gray beard. Sweet birds.

Wow - what lucky chickens!! That's like a REAL house! We just have cheap plywood boxes used by storage companies for $100 (4'x8'x7'), but I am a little worried they'll fall apart after a few years. It looks like yours will last forever though! I love the colors you picked too. I might have to copy that for our 2 new houses. On the earlier ones we did pastel colors for the kids, since we have easter-eggers and Ameraucanas. Gotta love those fluffy cheeks!!

ETA: If you happen to have the paint type/name/number for your exterior colors, can you let me know? I am not very good at picking colors when I'm looking at those tiny cards at the store. We have both Lowes and Home Depot, if you happened to get it either of those places. Thanks!

We had Columbia Paint mix the color for us. If you have a Columbia Paint store by you I can let you know the formula if you want. I wanted a color that would blend in well with our surroundings, and took a chip in from the bark of one of the Ponderosa Pines. As it turned out they mix it differently from the sample they gave me. When I saw the painter painting it on the house I was shocked. Well Columbia offered to give us all of the paint, so we decided to take them up on that and just continue to use the "wrong" color. We ended up liking it after all and it was not to far off the color I wanted.

I love the coop! Your whole area set up is so pretty, and my daughter(7) would like to know if your white horse is for sell : ) "ALLLL I have is a pony and I will be needing a white horse pretty soon. 14 hands is good cuz 16 is too tall". I let her look at BYC with me so she can get excited about our chickens...she likes the chickens but is passionate about the horses.

I love it! I love everything you have! And I love it your Dad was there to help (my Dad is gone) and your babies will love their new little house!

That is my horse Buddy. He is a great horse. Anyone could ride him, but he stays here!

Below is another picture of him along with a couple of our other horses. The little grulla is a wildhorse from the Pryor Mountain range here in Montana. I thought your daughter might like to see her. She is so beautiful.
