Natural beauty can be brought to life with photography by highlighting its splendor and wonder. By entering this contest, you will be challenged to practice your wildlife photography skills and capture the beautiful scenes of nature around you. If entries warrant, we will split the contest into several categories - mammals, birds, bugs, and other (reptiles, amphibians, fish, etc.), with prizes for each category.

It's easy to enter, just reply to this thread with pictures of wild mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians, etc.!

To increase your chances of winning, please read the rules before entering.

Rules:
  1. Four entries per member. One entry per post, please.
  2. An entry is one photo of a wild bird(s), insect(s), reptile(s), mammal(s), amphibian(s), etc. NO DOMESTIC POULTRY OR DOMESTIC WATERFOWL.
  3. Images that have been resized might be disqualified if they are too small to judge.
  4. No screenshots, watermarks, date stamps, text, etc., on the photo. No collages.
  5. No AI generated images. (added 2024-05-27)
  6. The photo needs to have been taken by you.
  7. You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC-sponsored contest.
  8. High-quality images are recommended. Basic editing, such as cropping and other subtle changes, are allowed.
  9. ALL photos MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
  10. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
  11. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
  12. Entries will be accepted through June 30th, 2024, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

I'm going to make a mid-flight rule change as well. No AI images will be considered for judging. We didn't add it because we didn't think we needed to. I will update post number one.

These all appear to be trail camera shots.

Rule 6 states that The photo needs to have been taken by you.

These images cannot be considered for judging as a result, unfortunately. They were captured by your trail camera when you weren't around.

If you would like to enter additional images that were captured by you in person, please feel free to do so.
