on a desktop, log into gmail. You can get to photos from the hamburger menu top right (next to your photo). On mobile yo'll have to see if google photos app is installed. The icon looks like this:

Yeah I looked I don't think they're saved on there, there's just photos that are on my device now.

I've gone through a similar thing last year with my phone. I didn't have my photos being saved to Google Photos at the time, so I lost all of mine as well. Can you go to My Files and check your Internal Storage? Sometimes you can find deleted stuff there. (That's were I accidentally deleted my photos, actually.)

What about iCloud? I didn't even know I had photos in iCloud until someone here told me about it as a way to have higher quality photos than off of my phone. I went there and holy buckets, my pictures from years ago were there.

I don't know. I do have an iPhone but didn't know that would be just for iPhones. Maybe someone techy, [cough] @azurbanclucker knows, but otherwise it'd be worth logging in to see. Just icloud.com, then photos.

I cloud is apples cloud service I don’t think you can get android to apple

Icloud is for apple things. She's using an android. Different ecosystems.
