Yes I know. I removed my earlier entry’s due to the same reason I’m not entering I’ll have to clear something up with casportpony before I do re enter contests

Is an eastern lubber grasshopper.

Nope from what I understand they are highly poisonous/toxic to small birds and mammals

I have never seen a grasshopper like that. Good to know it is a no go for birds. We have gigantic grasshoppers in Florida. Larger than the Palmetto bugs. My cat found one on the window today and went nuts. LOL! I believe our chickens will love them. I am concern about the anole population in our yard as well. My cat use to take them out. The chickens will go wild.
