That's really cool!Thank you! That's actually a wild California quail.I have a Sony a350, which is a pretty low-end DSLR. I have a good telephoto lens, which is really what makes the difference in wildlife photography.
She's so cute! I've only picked up one quail, a little female who'd hurt her leg. All I could do was move her out of the road, I know she probably wouldn't survive in captivity.
Aw, I hope she was alright! Was it a California quail? She's so cute! I've only picked up one quail, a little female who'd hurt her leg. All I could do was move her out of the road, I know she probably wouldn't survive in captivity.I never saw her again, so either she healed and I can't tell her apart in the flock or a coyote got her, which sadly is a lot more likely.
Yeah, that's the only kind I've ever seen around here. We feed them scratch in the morning, and there's a flock of around fifty or so that come!Aw, I hope she was alright! Was it a California quail?
Cool! I just have 6! Four of which make up two breeding pairs that should start laying in March!Yeah, that's the only kind I've ever seen around here. We feed them scratch in the morning, and there's a flock of around fifty or so that come!
Cool! Quail babies are the cutest thing ever. Last year we saw maybe the most babies we've seen, there were four or five clutches of around eight babies each. It's adorable to see them all following the parents!Cool! I just have 6! Four of which make up two breeding pairs that should start laying in March!
