Thank you! I use a Pentax K3, and for these photos, my lens was the old version of the Sigma 50-500mm (bigma).

For these photos I would say under 5m, around 3m maybe? There was little-to-no cropping for these particular photos.

This was considerably further away (maybe 15-20m?) And was cropped. It's my first Eurasian blackcap.

Huh, Neotropic Cormorants! Used to seeing those in TX, forgot those were a thing in Arizona as well.

Gotta be sneaky sneak, a lot of birds in public places like the pond near us are not so shy as they see people every day. The more they see you the less afraid they will be!

Our blue tits which love visiting our bird table used to freak if they saw me but over the past month or so they've allowed me to be outside within 5m or so, I've just never had my camera handy when they do!
