Will a 5 strand electric fence keep out foxes?

Many many moons ago we put up a mile of fencing, and I did most of the pounding. Good exercise, but never again! Now we fix that fence as issues come up, and replace sections, and constantly have to readjust gates.

Me too... My problem is it's getting harder to climb a ladder. We're lucky the ground is sand.

But this particular brand is not available in most places. Might be at a local farm coop or local run farm and home chain. If not, TSC sells a similar but lower quality posts, as do most farm supply stores. They will work the same, just are not as durable, so may not last as long.

With these posts, the only steel T posts you need to drive are on the corners.

Actually, I'm a big fan of all Parmak stuff, but I'm partial as they are an old school outfit based out of Kansas City (go chiefs).......and I have a long term history using their products.

So you couldn't reach to start the pounder?
Do you slide the pounder on the post before setting upright?
A milk crate and the pounder would be easier,
and safer,
than a sledge hammer on a ladder<cringes>

The pounder goes on the post while the post is not upright, and then it gets in a vertical position, and pounding commences. In sandy soil, easy. In heavy clay, a royal pain!

I feel her pain. I'm 5 ft tall if round up. I put the driver / pounder on before it's vertical but once it's vertical it's hard to get the leverage especially to get it started when at or above you head. I usually use afew block to stand on but definitely a driver

It was one of those stepladders which is a bit easier to climb.
