Will a broody hen sit on duck eggs for 28 days?

Hi everyone, I’ve got a 1 year old broody hen sat on 8 duck eggs , it looks like a good mother and pecks me whenever I go near the eggs. I’m just worried that it won’t stay on the nest for 28 days and will leave around the day 21 mark , I do have other hens that are broody as back up but should I be cautious? Thanks

It's been my experience that most hens will set the additional time needed to hatch duck eggs. I would monitor closely and have a 'Plan B' in mind in case she does break broodiness. Good luck.

I don't know about duck eggs but mine sat on guinea eggs for 28 days until they hatched.
