I have 16 hens and yesterday I only got one egg. The previous 3 days I've gotten 3,5 and 2.
I've changed their feed from crumbles to pellets. could that change be the reason for a drop in egg production?

The hens were a year old in june
some are molting so I did expect some drop in production but I'm not sure molting is the reason for such a drastic drop.
I have lights that come on at 5am and they have been there for over a month so it isn't because they dont get enough light.
Everyone looks healthy and the ones that are molting are growing healthy new feathers.
I'm at a loss for such poor egg production
anyone have any ideas?

My money says it is just the molt. Everybody is having and has had the same problem this time of year. I switched to pellets a month ago because I got tired of the waste with the crumbles being flung out of the feeder and it can pack up. I noticed no change in behavior with the switch and alot less on the ground.
