Will a hen fight with a roo?

How frustrating. We only got four in this age group and my kids have put so much into them. I am promising myself to never get straight run again, what are the chances of getting all roos? I have one polish who is much younger and noticing pointed feathers rather than round. I am pretty much ready to give up on them. Not to mention all the money gone into it this round.
Sorry for the sour pout, tough luck for us.

I got them from a local breeder at about a week and a half old.

Sure does stink. Especially since we have to dispatch them ourselves, I've had no takers. I cant bring myself to serve the kids their chickens either so it's a total loss. It does make me want to have a big piece of land where I can let the bachelors live out their days together instead of in town with a no roo policy. But that's a pipe dream. And who knows if that would really be any better. They are beautiful and I wouldn't mind letting then be. I personally enjoyed the crowing if it didn't bother anyone else.

I did list one on CL for $5, just to deter cock fighting... is that even a thing anymore? I dont know, lol. I listed online with a local homesteading group and online poultry swap but no replies. But I have never been to a real poultry swap before, I can look into it. I thought there was just too many roos out there than people wanting them. It makes me so sad to have to kill them, we did kill the crowing one, he was a beauty. They are bonded and still lay down in the grass together all in a pile, though they do challenge each other once in a while. We've had chickens get killed, but I think this is more depressing. Whether I meant to or not they did become pets.
I do hope you are able to keep them, Chickenhappy. I mean, we do what we have to do, whether rehoming or culling, but it doesn't mean we want to. Good luck.😥
