Will a hen fight with a roo?

I did list one on CL for $5, just to deter cock fighting... is that even a thing anymore? I dont know, lol. I listed online with a local homesteading group and online poultry swap but no replies. But I have never been to a real poultry swap before, I can look into it. I thought there was just too many roos out there than people wanting them. It makes me so sad to have to kill them, we did kill the crowing one, he was a beauty. They are bonded and still lay down in the grass together all in a pile, though they do challenge each other once in a while. We've had chickens get killed, but I think this is more depressing. Whether I meant to or not they did become pets.
I do hope you are able to keep them, Chickenhappy. I mean, we do what we have to do, whether rehoming or culling, but it doesn't mean we want to. Good luck.
