Will a light help my hen start laying in the nesting box again?

How old is she, in months, and how long has she been laying?

How long does this light stay on?
Are there no windows in coop to help them coop up at dusk?

Wondering the same.
She is 5 months old and has been laying for at least a couple of weeks if not more. I’m not sure which one of the 5 that are laying she is. My first egg was a little over a month ago and the other 4 have all started laying sometime after that. I have one that is not laying at all yet. The light stays on for a couple of hrs at night. Comes on right at dark. There are no actual windows in the coop, but there is a door to the run besides the chicken door that is all wire and small ventilation areas around the top of the coop. All eggs I have gotten have been hard shelled. The coop stays pretty dark most of the time.

My guess would be then that it is one of the new layers, whose system is not yet working properly and who has not yet worked out what's going on. Patience, grasshopper

I'd add some windows for both more light and ventilation.

Nah, it doesn't need to be dark, it needs to feel 'safe'(to them).

x2. I really like having a lot of natural light in the coop, makes it easier on me (and the chickens) to navigate.

I've even added windows into nest boxes before to make them brighter and it never deterred the chickens from using them.
