Will a Peacock kill chicks?

Someone told me and my mother that a Peacock will kill Chicks, like peck them to death or something. And that you can not keep them with chickens at all. I am not so sure that I believe him. Just want to know the truth and be sure.

I have been chasing my neighbors peacock out of the chicken house and run for a few days now. The chicken mamas are freaking out and attacking him. He definitely wants those chicks.

There is no way of knowing if he is “just curious”. He is messing with the whole flock. He has pecked the chickens before.
