I bought three little cochins a week or two ago.
The super nice lady I got them from said she thought they were all roos.
They are all really young. The black one is def. a roo because he is trying to fight my two baby roos and his comb is red.
The other two have a (very, very) slight difference in color of their combs as they are slightly lighter in color.
The thing is I caught my grown rooster mating one of them and after the mating the "supposed to be smaller roo" shook off like the hens normally do.
I put the two suspicious chicks in with my very protective full grown rooster (not the same one that mated the small one) and he didn't try to fight them and did his "dance" for one of them...
Could they be hens or will a rooster sometimes mount a baby roo?
Thanks!
