I recently acquired a few roosters but have existing turkeys and guinea fowl. I was wondering if anyone has had any issues, as far as diseases go, with keeping chickens in close proximity to other poultry? I have read on a few websites that acidified copper sulfate can be used as a preventative for Blackhead disease but was unsure of how accurate this information is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had never heard of using it to prevent blackhead or for any other reason. So, I typed 'acidified copper silfate' into the BYC. Search box. A couple old threads came up. In the one I read turkeys were never mentioned...but the use of copper sulfate (its safety) was hotly debated. Here's the link and I'll let you decide https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/833969/copper-sulfate/20
Best wishes. Also, stop by the New Members Forum so we can give you a proper BYC welcome! https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/44/new-member-introductions
