Will chicken eat pumpkins

We have several pumpkins left at my preschool and I am wondering if my chicken would eat them - raw or baked

Some chickens love them, some don't. Bust one open and toss it out to them and see what they think.

I had four leftover pumpkins put them in the yard in the chickens didn’t seem very interested. So the goats devoured them. They loved them. But I’ve heard of chickens that do like them. A few years ago I gave the chickens I had some of the pumpkin guts I scraped out before carving and they seemed to like them but didn’t want much to do with the outer skin

Pumpkin should be fine with chickens but be sure to cut of any old or mouldy parts of the pumpkin if you have any

My chickens love them. I cut thick fleshed pie-type pumpkins in quarters. They peck at there for days. Even when they're covered in dirt, if I turn them upside down, they'll peck through the skin. They also like the seeds.

My girls wouldn't touch them so we threw them out in the bush for the deer.

Mine will only eat the guts and seeds of a fresh pumpkin. Earlier this year, I gave them the left overs of cooked squash we scraped out and they pecked those down to nothing.

Same, they'll eat it but I have to open it. The really young ones I have to scoop out some and let them eat from my hand before they'll trust the orange watermelon.
