use rubber mats on cement barn flooring, but I have used it on vinyl flooring, too. Rubber mats do a nice job of keeping damp away from your animals. Don't think you want to use them if they might drap any humidity in your coop, though.

thanks! And we do have a TSC about 45 min away so I'll check that out.....now onto the plans I suppose it's time to do that! Lol at this point, we weont be going on vacation in a few weeks if Idont get them out of here!

I couldn't get linoleum very cheap at Lowe's or HD but went to one of the older flooring places in town and they sold me a remnant for $10. They were fascinated that it was going in a chicken coop!
 
i have a plywood floor in mine and i painted it with some good sticky oil based enamel before i moved the birds in. between the paint and the straw there is no poo coming into contact with raw wood. it's holding up really well.
