Will Diatomaceous Earth kill lice on goats?

I bought a baby goat from the sale barn once.....he was covered in lice. I bathed him asap with dog flea and tick shampoo. Let it set for about 15 mins....and it did the trick. Good luck with your baby.

MOst feed stores can get it for you or you can order it from many goat supply places. www.hoeggergoatsupply.com has it and its not expensive. Yes I agree you need the food grade type. There are other types of DE but you want food grade.
My feed guy can get it for me in 50 lb bags, I dont use to much of it so I got mine from Hoeggers first.
Yes organic farmers use this for insect control. Call your feed store and see also.

Good luck. We use the injectable Ivermectin and give it orally.

If the little guy has soremouth and lice I hope you have him quarantined from other goats until you can get him tested for CL and CAE. He's likely to be positive if his care has been that poor.
