Will ducks use a ramp

Question. Do you have mice getting into the Coop because you have a ramp? I don't have a ramp, but I use large blocks (spaced apart) instead, to prevent mice from getting in, and it works. My Chickens and geese share the coop, and both use the blocks. It's all in what they get used to. My Geese walk up the blocks and into the coop as well as the chickens do and I never encouraged it. I made them use the "People Door" when I would put them up for the night. I would suspect the ducks would do the same. As far as nesting, I would use open cardboard cartons cut to size (about 2 X 2 feet) so Ducks could use them, and keep them on the floor with hay or straw in them. Chicken nesting boxes are not practical. Too small and too high.

Pic please.

My only real suggestion is a less steep angle (like ours), but it doesn't look like you have the space. Maybe provide some more pictures?
My ducks use a ramp every day and night but I agree that yours may be way too steep. Is there a way you can redirect the direction of the ramp that will reduce the pitch? Maybe make it longer? What about posting some pictures of the inside area and where the ramp goes up?

Its got an addition piece that can go on but it isn't in the pic it comes out to like 45 square feet but they only use it at night
Maybe since they aren't using the nesting boxes, you can remove them and put a ramp in coming from the other direction where the angle isn't as steep, that leads up to where the nesting boxes are now.
Are you planning on moving them to something bigger once they are fully grown? From the picture, the coop and run look kinda small for 5 ducks :idunno
