I just read an online post suggesting mixing garlic into the feed. Would this affect the taste of the eggs? Any comments from anyone who does this and any benefits seen?

I don't feed them garlic. As with anything, the amount of garlic would determine any effect on the chicken or the eggs. Many things are used in small amounts for the resultant therapeutic value. It appears that too much would be deleterious, whether garlic, apple cider vinegar, or anything else.

Thanks. Do you use apple cider vinegar or diatomaceous earth? Anything else to promote better health and deter parasites?

Hi, I use grarlic apple cider vinager and its fabulous! Helps with parasites and keeps feathers looking in tip top shiny condition! I add it to their water for one week per month. The chooks also love it, especially in the winter months, I make it up with warm water. Our eggs don't taste garlicky. Highly recommended ;-)
