Will Frost Bite Spot Heal?

My Australorp got a small spot of black frostbite on her comb. It's not at the tip, and not on both sides, just one spot in the upper middle. I'm wondering if the spot will heal? Or if it will stay black forever? Will the red tip fall of because of the black underneath? I found lots of great information on how to treat and prevent frostbite. I'm just wondering what it will look like when it heals...

It depends on the chicken but typically it will heal just fine. Since it's just the one side the texture of that spot may change but she shouldn't lose anything.
