Will geese mate with chickens?

Great, I think I'm safe then, because the pair I bought from a friend are the absolute sweetest pair ever! They run from the chickens

They aren't lovey dovey, but will let me catch and pet them if I fill up their pool. They talk to me - no, it's more like lecture me if I feed the chickens without filling up their pool. Silly babies.

My American buff are great…until mating season, my male is so aggressive and he does try to mount my chickens, so be aware! Also, my female lays her legs in early April and it lasts for about 4-6 weeks.

Geese can't breed with chickens, but ganders can get really testy when their goose is setting on eggs, so I might try to keep the chickens away for their safety. Ganders have been known to attack and maim/kill smaller birds during breeding season.
