Will having chickens attract more predators to my yard?

I live in a suburb outside Chicago, with raccoons, foxes, and even the occasional coyote. My 15 pound poodle has electric fence, and we let him out for a few minutes every night to go potty. Will having chickens in my backyard cause more predators to lurk around? Will I have to start watching my dog every night when he goes outside?

you will probably get visited more often by the predators. the electric fence will help discourage some of them, but be sure your night coop is very secure. your dog should be watched anyway if you are having visitors at night anyway. you know they go right up on decks in calif and snatch little dogs with the owners close by!

Oops! I wasn't specific enough...

It's the underground invisible fence with the shock collar for dogs, not the actual "fence-with-a-live-wire" kind of thing. I haven't seen any predators yet (i just moved in), but my neighbors have.

It might not attract more, but those that do visit will have chicken dinner on their mind, & will make a determined effort to get into the run & coop.

I use a combination of leg hold traps, electric fencing, cage traps & shotgun to keep the preds at bay.
