Will hens that come of age in late November not lay till spring?

I have a barred rock hen that was hatched the first of June she has just started laying in the past couple of weeks. I kinda thought she was but yesterday we caught her in the nesting box and her eggs are a little darker than my RIR's

My 2 leghorn girls hatched around June 12th and just started laying last week. No artificial light used. Just try to be patient. They'll lay when they're ready. (I know it's hard to wait! Even harder when waiting for eggs to hatch. lol)
