Will I be able to tell the chicks apart by breed?

We have Rhode Island Red hens and Gold laced Wyandotte hens. Our roo is a Rhode Island Red. Will we be able to tell the pure RIR chicks from the mixed chicks? It's not a big deal either way but I'm just curious. Thanks!

When feathered, the Wyandotte mixes would probably have different feathering.

If the hens are homozygous for their rose comb, then all their babies should have rose comb, which you could see pretty dang fast after hatch. But if they're heterozygous, then about half would have the same comb as the Rhode islands

It didn't even occur to me that their combs are different. I guess I'm so use to see them I don't even notice anymore. I would think that their down would look different as well since those 2 breeds look very different as chicks but I'm not sure since they'd be mixed.
